Embracing the Elements
‘What if we thought of the elements – all the matter of this world – as one of us? Cavorting hybrids – part human and part granular, atomic expression – that captures our mind and body as well as our heart’ – Linnea Gits, Materia Prima: A Reflection On Matter.
Water, earth, air, fire – the classical elements have always been a source of inspiration and wonder in all that we do. Thought to bring balance and harmony, each represents a different aspect of our psyche. Symbolically, the elements represent patterns of energy that can transform and reconfigure – making them the perfect subject for the the year ahead.
Rooted in nature, our palette for this season reflects our fascination with the four states of matter and their power to invoke the senses. Taking our cue from Austin’s vibrant landscape – think sparkling lakes, golden sands, celestial night skies and fiery sunsets – the collection includes new hues inspired by the elements: ‘ocean blue’, a bright lilac that represents water, ‘dijon’, a rich mustard that represents earth, ‘aquamarine’, a translucent blue that represents air, and ‘flora’, a sharp orange that represents fire.
Water // Ocean Blue
Water is a symbol of emotion, dreams, healing, intuition, and the universal realm.
A refreshing palette cleanser, our lilac-hued Ocean Blue is delightfully buoyant.
Earth // Dijon
Earth is a symbol of abundance, stability, and solidity.
Warm and golden, our surprisingly neutral Dijon will transport you to great plains.
Air // Amazonite
Air is a symbol of communication, intelligence, and versatility.
A cool, crystalline blue with a subtle sparkle, our Amazonite is a breath of fresh air.
Fire // Grenadine
Fire is a symbol of creation, energy, and passion.
Playful yet powerful, our invigorating Grenadine is a sharp citrus orange.
